Gratitude with a Grateful Heart
Giving back with joy and without expectation is key not only to a balance life but it opens the floodgate of receiving more in your own life. It really is the spark that will ignite your personal prosperity. A lot has been said and publish on the importance of giving but somehow we often forget the true nature “giving from a grateful heart”. Among the reasons, the “institutionalization” of the giving process has somehow distance ourselves from the receiver to a point that we lost the inherent feeling of gratitude.
The purpose of life
Wait a second, am I going to pretend I know what the meaning of life is. Actually it is easier than you might think. There is basically two ways we can choose to live our life, one is from the inside-out and the other from the outside-in. The former is a life lived in trust giving while the latter is characterized by dis-trust and taking, the get, get, get, what’s in it for me mentality.
Life lived from the Outside-in
- Ego based
- Competition driven
- Push, aggressive, conflictual, deceiving, abusing
- Lack mentality
- Get the most out of the least (disguised under the efficiency euphemism)
- What’s in it for me
Life lived from the Inside-out
- Soul based, hearth centered
- Cooperation driven
- Conflict resolution, growth oriented, self-responsibility
- The world is Abundant and can be shared
- GIVE the most out of the least
- Community wellness and genuine understanding that we are all ONE
Expressing your Gratitude; Tithing vs. Giving
A lot has already be written, spoken and debate for centuries. As the majority of people this is not a practice that I was found of, specially if it involved giving to “Churches”. That being said I cannot recommend enough to watch this video/workshop given by Edwene Gaines at Agape, the Spiritual Center headed by Dr. Michael Beckwith.
This is bar none the best explanation I have ever heard and totally changed my understanding of tithing. I won’t go in details in writing here except that you will learn about Edwene 4 steps to prosperity with tithing being only one of the steps. Do yourself a favor and spend the 2 1/2 hours.
